So first of all let me explain what this is (incase you’ve haven’t heard about it before). Basically like the title says it’s a beauty festival! There are loads of different brands there and you can make your way round visiting them all and getting pampered and getting little treats along the way, then you also get a goodie bag full of loadssss of freebies from the brands that have been there! (who doesn’t love new products to try?).
It’s split into different rooms with different themes like skincare, makeup, hair. Here are some of the brands that were there: Nars Cosmetics, Fresh, Elizabeth Arden, Pixi, Laura Mercier, Caudalie, Kat Von D, Guerlain, Revlon, Nude by Nature and GHD. So this is the first time that I have attended the event and I really loved it! It was so much fun and I loved all the free stuff I got. It was also really cool getting to talk to representatives from all the different brands, some like Fresh trying out new products on you, others just showing the stuff they sell. I would definitely recommend anyone who is a beauty addict to sign up and try getting tickets next year! It is so worth the money! (I think the tickets were about £35 and when you see how much stuff I got added with the treatments and stuff you’ll see what I mean).
First let’s start with the different brands that me and my friend went to see. So just a little word of warning if you do plan on going, go to the brands that you really want to see first cause you more popular brands queues soon fill up! I mean saying that we didn’t really queue that long for any! The longest was probs for Kat Von D and even that was only like half an hourish.
Pixi by Petra- So this was the first stand we went too and they were offering a facial. The products she used on me were the Caroline Hirons double cleanse, then the Rose Tonic was applied onto my face, now I have used the Glow Tonic and love it so I was excited to try this out (we also got a little mini of this with our goodie bag so I will let you guys know what I think of it). I feel like it’s going to be really nice and soothing for people with stressed or sensitive skin. Then finished with a Rose Oil Blend, this facial was to create glowing skin, so it was nice to know that these three products would work well together to create this.
Fresh- Next we went to fresh where we got another facial (can never have too many). Here we got to try out there new mask which is the Lotus Youth Preserve Rescue Mask. So here the women asked me what kind of thing I wanted with my skin so I told her glowing and that I had oily skin and then she made a routine that would fit and suit me. We started with the Soy Face Cleanser and then the Rose Floral Toner. Then onto the mask I mentioned before and then finishing with the Vitamin Nectar Moisture Glow Face Cream and the Rose Deep Hydration Facial Toner. Now I’ve never tried Fresh product before so I am excited to try the mask we got in the goodie bag! And also I think I will be purchasing some of their stuff very soon!
Kat Von D- This was my favourite stand by far! I love Kat Von D products soooo much, so I was so happy to get my eye makeup done by them. We were given a little booklet with 4 different looks in to choose from. There was Classic Kat Eye, Smokey Eye, Graphic Eye and Cut Crease Eye. Now I went for the graphic eye as this is something a bit different that I wouldn’t be able to do myself! First off the makeup artists are great! So good at what they do and the look, I loved it I think it really suited me and I will definitely be practising and trying it out myself.
Nude By Nature- Next was a brand that’s quite new to the UK, now I have heard a little about them before (I got a little bronzer from them in the ASOS Beauty Advent Calendar). They are all about how to do stuff naturally, now I’m not that great with natural makeup but it was really nice to try their products out. The Brow Mascara was really nice and I would definitely buy this to give it a go.
Schwarzkopf hair- So at this stand you could choose from a variety of spray in colours to have out in your hair and then get it styled. I got the blonde bits at the end of my hair coloured pink, it was a really nice colour actually! I do like these sprays I think there cool if like me and you want to temporarily change your hair colour but say can’t have it a crazy colour for work so need it to wash out.
So overall I think we visited quite a few stands and there were only a couple like Laura Mercier and Nars that I was a bit gutted we missed. It was so funny as we were saying you could like just make your way around all the stands and get yourself ready for like a night out, all the different stalls were doing different things. Another thing that I think was really good was that they were all selling their products, but they weren’t pushy like it wasn’t about them trying to sell the stuff to you it was more about you just trying them out!
Like I said above honestly I would definitely recommend going! I will definitely be getting myself tickets for next year! Finally below is a list of all the products that I got in the goodie bag (don’t worry I’ll get some reviews up of stuff soon as I get round to using them).
